Why Poppy?

Only a few people know this but I decided to take the leap and start Poppy Stationery a few months after my grandmother passed away from Alzheimer’s. In the midst of COVID, we were unable to have a proper funeral or memorial service which was hard for everyone to say their goodbyes. We did the best we could with what we had available. During that time, I was in the process of starting my business trying to come up with the perfect trendy name.

After days of trying to find the “perfect” name- it hit me..My business name had to be something that is important and had meaning to me. Poppies were my grandmothers favorite flowers and because I never got to properly say goodbye, this was my way of remembering her and in a way knowing that a piece of her is still with me, hence, the name Poppy Stationery & Design.
